Our Story

Founded in 2019 by brothers David and Chris O’Byrne, Cane & Bean was created to fill a gap in the market for high-quality, naturally flavoured sugars and syrups. What began as small-batch creations for family and friends has grown into a bespoke range enjoyed by home bakers, chefs, and flavour enthusiasts across the UK.

We believe that natural is best, which is why each product is hand-crafted using only the finest Demerara sugar and whole fresh fruit or spices and contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Our syrups are versatile and are perfect poured over hot porridge, crepes, or ice cream, they can be used to create fantastic glazes for BBQs, or as the base for cocktails and other drinks.

Fruit Powders

Cane & Bean fruit and spice powders are produced in small batches from the finest fresh whole fruit and spices – they are hand-crafted and hand ground – all bursting with natural flavour and versatile enough to be used in a wide range of recipes, such as cakes and biscuits, stir fries, salad dressings and smoothies.

Seasonal Picks

Throughout the year, we’ll be offering limited-edition seasonal flavours like Seville Orange, Sicilian Lemon, Scottish Raspberry and English Garden Mint. These small-batch sugars are only available during their season, so once they’re gone, they’re gone until the next season. Be sure to order early to avoid disappointment!
